Lambda's Role We have been a lead investor for half of our portfolio companies: finding additional sources of capital, introducing professionals, and assisting in recruiting management.
We have served on the Board of Directors of a third of our companies.
We are not interested in being a passive investor; we generally
speak with management once or twice a week.
The Review Process Call us first, or send a brief e-mail, to obtain preliminary interest.
Please type * before the subject so we know its not spam.
Then send us your Business Plan. This need not be longer than
15 pages. We much prefer a written plan to an "investor deck". If
the document is longer than six pages, we prefer hard copy, as it is difficult to read multipage files, particularly when one wants to
flip back and forth between pages.
We pride ourselves in giving you a response within a week of receipt of your plan.
Then we will meet with your management team. A due diligence process follows. Our time to commitment is usually five weeks.
Note: Lambda has a policy of not signing broad confidentiality agreements. If there is a highly sensitive item, omit it from the Business Plan. If we are to proceed, we can then discuss the matter.
Time to closing depends on the number of firms in the investing group, and usually takes another four weeks.
